Yup. Disney sure was racist before they added a black woman.
Because everyone knows that the only races there are in the world is black and not black.
Silly Disney.
While I love Princess and the frog, the idea that Disney hadn’t done any other racial differences is mindblowing. I mean really?
Add to that the “Ooh, mixed race couple! How inclusive!” argument.
Because Disney
Has never
Done that
The last one isn’t even the same fucking species.
I thought it wasn’t so much that it was racist as that there wasn’t a specifically black woman/princess. That it took so long to get to Tiana when we already had Jasmine and Mulan. *shrug*
I thought it wasn’t that it wasn’t that they didn’t include races, it was that they based the races off races that looked more pretty//white. They admitted that pocahontas was based off asian people, and I have MET women from Jasmine and Esmerelda’s races- they do not look -remotely- like that 98% of the time.

Good Job Disney; your portrayals are spot-on. *headdesk*
Also…there were no princesses in this movie, but we’re forgetting a special girl.

The Interspecies relationship that came long before The Princess and the Frog. :3
